Simulcast, 1998-2002

Walking around with a paper machete satellite dish worn as a backpack. I thought of myself as one of many practitioners of the air waves. My method did not require equipment or electricity. People would approach me asking for directions, inquiring about the when the signal I seemed to be directing would air, and where could they purchase their own dish? If I wanted out of a conversation, I simply rotated or repositioned myself claiming that the reception was better elsewhere.

Several other practitioners joined the Simulcast network over the years. We held events and workshops at shopping malls, galleries, and schools.
